The material resembles the feel of a cotton shoe string- Some like that is soft but some think it feels cheap.

Make sure you order badge inserts with the metal clip attached to the back. This lanyard seemed like a wide shoe lace--I wish I had spent a little more money on something nicer.

Lanyard is soft and light weight. Cannot feel it around the neck, which is good. It stretches though, probably 2 inches. Wasn't the worst thing, I just tied a knot on the back of the neck and it's just fine. Curious to see if the printing wears off over time.
