I understand the reasoning behind the tip cover, but what concerns me about it, is that customers may think that the pen does not work. We have to remind them to remove the tip protector or do so ourselves, which defeats the purpose of having the pens preboxed for us.

We like the Bic Velocity Gel Pen very much - it is a comfortable pen to use, and writes easily and legibly. I am very pleased with the quality of the printing on the pens. In the past, I have not always thought that the printing was as sharp and clear as possible. It often rubbed off over time. This is the second year we have ordered this specific plastic-barreled pen and the printing is still perfect on the old ones.
