LOVE this pencil! The printing looks great and they sharpen and write like a dream. The lead doesn't break often and makes good dark marks. It's also lots of fun to see the various colors of newsprint exposed near the tip after sharpening.

I am disappointed with the lead in this pencil. The printing on the pencil looks good, but the lead breaks frequently and usually during sharpening, so you end up sharpening the pencil twice. The lead is also rather hard and does not make dark marks. I also purchased the newsprint pencils and LOVE the lead there...no problems with breakage or light marks.
